Silver
along with being classy, is also a good investment. An example:
In just 25 years the price of silver has gone up from 700/- per
k.g. to 7000/- per k.g., a tenfold appreciation, a little pale,
compared to the appreciation in the prices of gold, but despite
that not a figure that can be called low. This slow appreciation
as compared to gold is more than made up by the other advantages
that silver has. Safety of investments being one of them, for
instance the recent crash in the bullion market could touch silver,
very lights but not as dramatic as gold. People interested in
purchasing bullion silver can purchase silver bars and coins in
a variety of weights ranging from a 1000-troy-oz. bar to a 1 k.g.
bar or even a 5gm. bar.
A bullion coin is the official "coin of the realm" with
a legal tender face value, the market value of which is determined
by it's weight and the purity of the silver. The true value of
a bullion coin depends on the changing price of silver plus a
premium of five to ten percent over the spot price. Many countries
now issue bullion coin including the United States, Mexico and
Canada.
